What date do online entries close?
Online entries will close at 8pm Saturday 11th February 2017.

Can I register on the day?
Yes you can enter all events on race day. Race day registrations may be limited and we can’t guarantee that entries will be available, so we urge you to pre register. You will need to fill out a form and pay first before getting your registration number and timing chip. To speed things up, download a form and fill it out before you come down and bring the exact money. Forms will be available once online entries close.

When do race numbers get sent?
You must collect your race number from the registration desk on race day, we strongly advise to get there early to avoid extensive queuing.

Are the events timed?
The 10km is timed. The Family bridge run is not timed. For the 10km event there is disposable timing device, which will be attached to the rear of your bib/entry number. Your timing device allows us to register your official event time.

Who can run in the Family bridge run?
Anyone !! Kids under 10 should be under an adult supervision at all time.

How do I register for the Family bridge run?
This is the same registration process as the 10KM race.

Can I run with my child in the Family bridge run?

Yes. It is suggest that parents run with their child(ren). You can select the Accompanying Adult option in the Optional Items section of the registration process. You will receive a bib. The bib will indicate to the course officials that you are an official participant in the event but you will not be timed.

When does my event start?
Below are the timings for the 2017 event, which will be confirmed closer to the event: 6:00am – Registration opens 6:45am – Registration closes 7:15am – Start for all runners (10 kms race) 9:00am – Start for the Family bridge run Please listen out for announcements on the day from the MC as these times may change.

What do I do if I need to withdraw from the event?
Please note there are no refunds for any reason whatsoever for non-starters.

Where is the start line located?
The starting line is on the Bennelong Bridge, at the Rhodes end, at the corner of Shoreline Dr and Gauthorpe St.

Where can I drop off my warm clothing or bag on race day?
There are bag drop off facilities near the registration desk. Here you will find a well-staffed baggage area to leave your belongings. Your participant bib will feature a tear off section along the bottom that you can use as your bag tag. Simply attach the tag to your bag, and hand it to one of our volunteers. Do not leave any valuables such as wallets, keys or phones. The event will take care of your belongings, but no responsibility will be taken for valuables or clothing that are lost or damaged.

When can I receive my result?
Results will be available within 24 hours after the event via our website. Usually, all things going well, the results will be available on the afternoon of the event.

What are the race records?
Since this is the inaugural event the winners will gain the honours of the race record.

Are there road closures?
Yes there is road closures, the Bennelong Bridge will be closed as will parts of Holker St, and parts of Sydney Olympic Park. We do urge caution and be aware when around the road areas and follow all instructions from race officials.

Are there water stations?
Yes, water will be provided on the course.

Can I run with a pram?
Yes you can but please start at the rear of the field.

Can I participate with a music player?
Music players are allowed on the course. If you are using an iPod or mp3 on course please follow these guidelines:
▪ Volume must be kept low so as not to cause offence or disturbance to other participants and so you can hear instructions and directions given by event officials, course marshals and emergency services personnel.
▪ music players must not be turned on until after the start of your event so that you can hear all instructions and announcements given at the start line.
▪ You must remain aware of your surroundings at all times, pay particular attention to lead and emergency vehicles and show courtesy to all other participants.

Who organises the Bennelong Bridge Run and where do the profits go?
The Bennelong Bridge Run is brought to you by Hamish and Glen, two local passionate runners. This event isn’t designed to make money rather it is a community fun run, but unfortunately in the day and age of insurances, road closures and other costs we are charging a minimal entry fee to cover our costs.

Can I get involved without running?
Yes we would love you to come volunteer. It should be a great event with lots going on, and it would be a great way to give back to the community while having fun. If you want to volunteer then feel free to contact us.
